From thirteen years in safety and risk management experience in the amusement and theme park industry, both hands-on and at the corporate level, I conduct risk and accident analysis from an organizational and employee behavior standpoint.
I have developed and conducted safety leadership training programs for mid and upper level management personnel; delivered substantial cost reductions while maintaining operational safety and integrity; and managed the claims and litigation process, negotiating favorable settlements of hundreds of claims and lawsuits. I have created policies and procedures and published Six Flags Houston's comprehensive safety manual. I serve on the ASTM International Committee on Amusement Rides and Devices, and have received two awards for safety in the entertainment industry - Six Flags Theme Parks, Inc's Quality Innovation and Growth Award and Medcor, Inc.'s Outstanding Performance Award.
